There is something majestic and mysterious in the mountains, you can’t experience this in any other place. Whatever we call it, the mountains have power. We hike because they enchant us, they are stunning, they inspire, they heal, they calm down. They give us a sense of freedom and primal contact with the nature.

I read this in a National Geographic magazine returning from the High Tatras in Slovakia. Timing was perfect, because nothing better could describe what can you feel there. In a land where rocky rocks are reigning, the raw environment is awe-inspiring. You feel here that you’re not at home but in the same time you want to stay forever.
