In the travel guides Gran Canaria is often called “the minitature continent”. After my first visit here I didn’t quite understand why? I didn’t notice any special variety of landscapes here, but now I know I was wrong.

During our last trip here we finally had a chance to spot what this island has the best to offer – a various weather conditions and, thanks to our afternoon car rides, also a variety of landscapes. Now I know exactly what “the minitature continent” means and I fully agree. Gran Canaria is a beautiful island and you can spot almost all the types of landscapes that the entire Canary Islands archipelago offers.
